Please notify me if you are willing to help with trip planning, including planning a meal and/or leading a hiking group or safety boating.

Hooferland is a primitive campsite owned by the Hoofer Outing Club, near the Peshtigo River.

Overview:

No prior experience necessary. No prerequisites needed.

All camping together! We will provide gear and teach you how to camp!

If I find a hiking leader, there will be a hiking activity group!

I will lead a whitewater boating group! Those who are new to whitewater paddling with Hoofers will be rafting with a commercial rafting business. Participants who have prior experience with Hoofers and have attained the R2 rating may kayak or canoe.

Itinerary:

Friday evening: drive to Hooferland (4 hours)

Saturday morning: breakfast in camp, prepare for the river.

Saturday noon: rafters meet at Kosir’s, and kayakers put on at Farm Dam Lane. https://www.americanwhitewater.org/content/River/view/river-detail/2305/main

Plan to return around 9-10pm on Sunday.
