Description

As part of the Memorial Union Winter Carnival, the Outing Club will be exploring Lake Mendota from the Memorial Union Terrace February 10th from 6-9pm!


Come explore Lake Mendota with skis, snowshoes, or on foot! A path of glowing ice luminaries will guide you out on to the lake where you can get a beautiful view of the city and the stars. All the gear will be provided with ski/snowshoe checkout happening right off of the terrace. There will also be campfires, music, and s'mores! This event is OPEN TO EVERYONE SO THERE IS NO NEED TO REGISTER. Just show up and feel free to invite all your friends.

Accommodation Information
We will be meeting outside on Lake Mendota so masks are not required. However, masks are required if entering Memorial Union.
Driving or Travel Details
Food and Equipment Information
Please dress accordingly. Hats, gloves, and warm layers are important as you will be outside on the lake, and it tends to be chillier there than on campus. Classic skis and snowshoes will be available on a first come, first serve basis.
Trip Cancellation, Reschedule, and Refund Information
If the weather isn't conducive on the event day we, unfortunately, will have to cancel the event.
