This is normal backpacking BP2 trip, with spots for 8 participants (1 of those is a Leader-in-Training who is already on the trip). The goal is to get everyone their BP2 or BP2+ rating so that y'all can go on longer backpacking trips in the future.
The Charles C. Deam Wilderness in the Hoosier National Forest in Indiana offers 36 miles of scenic trails through forest and camping near the beautiful Lake Monroe.
The Lake Monroe Penninsula Trail and the Sycamore trail cover roughly 14 miles of beautiful lake, valleys, and overlooks, especially with all the beautiful colors this time of year. Come. It will be fun.
New to backpacking? Hoofers can provide all the essential gear (backpack, sleeping pad, and sleeping bag) to get you on the trail.
