Event Information

Description

We have snow and the Aldo Leopold Nature Center in Monona is hosting a free event: snowshoeing the trails by candlelight. They will have a bonfire to warm up by after snowshoeing.

The nature center museum is open for free that night! They will have hot chocolate, popcorn, and s’mores for a small fee.

Bring a water bottle. Wear warm boots that you can walk in and wear warm clothes in layers.

Meet me at 4 pm by the Rathskeller in the area between the colorful entrance and the bathrooms. We’ll go to the gear room to pick up snowshoes left over from the Delta Lodge Trip. Aldo Leopold also has some that we can use for free. After we get gear we’ll drive to the shuttle point and catch the shuttle. Then the fun begins in the snow!!

We’ll aim to be back at the union before 8pm before they close for the night.

Bring $1 for sharing the cost of gasoline.
