Canoe Lake Lesson and Canoe Practice

This Thursday evening we would  like to lead a canoe lesson and canoe practice

If you would like a review of stokes and then practice on the water this is a good place to go  There is enough leaders to split up into two groups  Sign up if interested so we know how many to expect  

The canoe lesson will teach you how to paddle a tandem canoe with a partner. This will give you the canoe lake rating you need to go on quiet water trips and to take canoes out on lake Mendota. 

We don’t plan on getting wet but wear clothes and shoes that can get wet. Wear shoes that stay on. 

We’ll learn about canoe strokes, the outing club, lake Mendota paddling with the club plus more. 

Swim test not included in this lesson but I’ll show you where  to go to take the swim test. 

Outdoor Rental has lockers for a dollar rental to stash your belongings during the lesson. 

Meet me by the Outdoor Rental Office door in the hallway where you enter from the lake.
