Come get your Standard Swim Test Rating within the Hoofer Outing Club so that you can join in on the lessons of the Weekend!

Meet at the Memorial Union swim pier (where the lifeguards are) no later than 11 am Sunday 6/23. The lifeguards will be administering the swim test for you, so if you need this rating, this is where you'll go!

For the swim test, you will be expected to:

1) Swim 100 yards, and

2) Tread water for 5 minutes

This rating is necessary for participating in Hoofer Outing Club paddling trips and lessons. You never know when you might find yourself swimming on a water trip!

Wear clothing that is meant for swimming, and bring water shoes. There are many sharp objects on the lakebed that you could potentially cut your foot on if you are barefoot.

Then, stick around for the Kayak and Canoe lessons that are going on at 11:30 am, just after your swim test!
