Event Information

Description

We’re returning to the Ringle Segment, working towards opening another piece of the re-imagined Segment. We’ll be focusing on creating a few important stone/rock crossings and creating our signature four-step tread across a mile plus of new trail.

No experience is necessary; training is provided by certified volunteer crew leaders.  There will be roles for all ages and abilities.  The Ice Age Trail Alliance provides food, tools, and campsites free to all who volunteer.  The cost for gas is $10.00.

Ringle is a 2 1/2 hour drive north of Madison, near Wausau.  We will be departing from the Park Street Circle at the Memorial Union, at 5:30 pm on Friday, October 18th, and returning to the Memorial Union on Saturday, October 19th, by 10:00 pm.  (The Park Street Circle is located at the end of Park Street, next to the Memorial Union.)

To reserve your spot, please see Chris Jacobsen, and pay $10.00 cash, for gas.  I  will be at the General Meeting on Tuesday evenings at 7:00.  The General Meeting is held in Mendota Lodge in the Memorial Union.

If you can drive, please email me and I can open up the trip to more participants.
