HOC Leader Appreciation Night!

Hello Hoofer friends!

It’s been a very successful year in Outing Club and we want to show our appreciation for all the work you do as leaders!

On Tuesday April 23rd, we have the big fire ring at the end of Picnic Point (#6) reserved for a Leader Appreciation Night! This will take the place of the general meeting (and exec), as it is starting at 6 pm. We will wrap things up around 10 pm, or earlier if people decide to take off.

WE WILL BE BRING FOOD FOR ALL OF YOU!!! We’re going to have a Build-Your-Own Taco Bar, so tortillas, rice, beans, meat, veggies, chips, and other items for you to build your own taco with. We want to celebrate you as leaders, so this is free for you to come and eat!

There will also be a bonfire and s’mores after dinner!!!!

So, if you’ve led a trip or a lesson since the beginning of last summer, you should sign up and come to this event! We aren’t gonna be strict about that, but we would like it if just people who’ve led in the past year come, so we can celebrate the year together as a leadership cohort!

Again, this will take the place of the general meeting, so there won’t be things going on in the Mendota Lodge on Tuesday 4/23.

PLEASE ACTUALLY SIGN UP FOR THIS EVENT ON THE LIST, SO WE CAN DETERMINE A GOOD ESTIMATE OF FOOD TO ORDER!

This is something we want to start doing every year, so the tradition starts now! As you would imagine, this being an official HOC event, alcohol/other substances are not permitted, nor are they permitted in the Lakeshore Nature Preserve. Tell your friends who are leaders that we would love to get together to celebrate the end of the year!
