How to teach a Canoe Lake Lesson (also counts as canoe lake lesson)

This event is for people who are confident in their basic flatwater canoeing skills and are ready to help out our paddling community! We always have demand for new Canoe Lake Lesson instructors. I want to prepare more people to lead or co-lead a canoe lake lesson! 

You are qualified if you are confident that you can steer a tandem canoe in moderate waves. 

If you have prior canoeing experience, especially teaching experience, you can earn your canoe lake lesson during this event! Please do attend! 

Dress in clothing that is ok to get wet, and wear shoes that won't fall off if you are swimming. Please meet in the boathouse in the lower level of Memorial Union. We'll talk in the boathouse and briefly get out to paddle on the water.
