Hey, Hoofs! Looking for something to do in the daytime on Halloween? WEATHER PERMITTING, we're going to drive to Treinan's Corn Maze, for some wholesome holiday fun! I highly suggest we wear masks and/or silly hats for a full Halloween experience.
After the maze, we'll cross the Merrimec Ferry, the only free ferry in the state, and head for Devils Lake for a bit of hiking!
We will meet at the Park Street Circle at 9:30 AM. The corn maze has a $10 entrance fee, and please bring $5 for gas. We also plan to stop somewhere for lunch. Here's hoping for no rain on Saturday!
SEVERE RAIN PLAN: If the weather is simply too awful to even thnk about going outside, we can go to Olbrich Gardens instead and have lunch at Ellas Deli afterward.
IMPORTANT UPDATE: Due to the 100% chance of rain tomorrow, the trip is now defaulting to the backup plan. We will meet at the Park Street Circle at 10am and go to the Olbrich Botanical Gardens for some rain hiking! Afterwards, we'll go to Ella's Deli, a must-see location for everyone!
I wish we could have gone on the longer trip, but I guess it will have to wait for a weekend with better weather. Regardless, I am going to wring some fun out of this day despite the rain!
