Event Information

Description
Want to go sea kayaking and see the fall colors from the water? If yes! Keep reading
The SK0 is the introductory class to Sea Kayaks where we'll cover Hoofer Rules related to Sea Kayaks, Sea Kayak Boat and Paddle design, forward stroke, sweep stroke and T-Rescue. Time permitting, we can cover other more advance, but still relevant topics such as edging.

Pre Req: swim test and kayak lake lesson.
What to bring: Out on the water I wear running shorts, a synthetic T-shirt shirt (NOT COTTON), sun glasses, a hat, and shoes such as booties, chacos, Teva's or old tennis shoes (NOT FLIP FLOPS). If the weather is cold or you get cold easily like I do, Hoofers has wet suits and spray tops we can use. Of course, bring a change of clothes and a towel. We will be getting wet and maybe cold, so I suggest bringing a jacket to wear afterwards.
When: 9am to 12pm on October 25th, which is my birthday, so come celebrate with me enjoying the wonders of Lake Mendota from a Sea Kayak.
