Arrival and Registration -
Registration begins at 1pm on Friday, October 2nd. There will be a registration booth to accept admissions and provide event info. All registrants must wear the provided wristband to enter camp and attend trips. Fr
iday night will be a howdy/jam party to get to know everyone!

Cave trips - Trips are led by a CCIU approved Trip Leader, who has had a least an OCR course, been a CCIU member for at least two semesters, taken the Trip Leader Familiarization course, and have a vote of confidence from the Officers. Our Trip Leaders are well trained and upstanding cavers. Sign-up sheets will be posted at the event and will include cave descriptions. Beginner, intermediate, and some advanced trips will be offered. With over 18 caves to choose from, there's sure to be something for everyone!! Trips will be led Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Sign-ups for trips will be located near the registration booth. Friday trips will start sometime around 3 or 4pm, possibly earlier if trip leaders are available. Trip sign-ups are first come, first serve, and we will have a wait list in case people drop out. We encourage the individual to choose a trip that is right for them, rather than groups trying to stick together (plus, we'll get to know each other a lot better this way).

Food - CCIU will provide a complimentary cook-out dinner on Saturday night starting at 7pm which will include vegetarian and vegan options. Please inform me before the trip if you are strictly vegetarian, vegan, or follow some special dietary restrictions. All other food it's up to us, so feel free to bring your favorite meals or choose from a nearby restaurant (open 8am - 8pm or later). The town of Mitchell is about 7 miles away from the camp and has some restaurants and of course fast food.
Alcohol - NO CONTAINERS ALLOWED! Camp Rivervale is a church camp. Please be discreet with your adult beverages. CCIU will provide a reusable cup or mug. Please use it, especially for adult beverages.

Departure -  All camps must be packed and cleaned up by 12 pm on Sunday. We will possibly do some caving in the morning before we depart.

Equipment:
  • Kneepads and gloves will be needed (WalMart is a good place for these)

Transportation:
This is going to be a 7h drive and we will rent a UW vehicle with a cost around $40 per person (including gas), if there is no available vehicle in the team. Please indicate your car availability as you sign up. Drivers don't participate in gas expenses, as a "Thank you" move.
