Event Information

Description
Hello Current/Future Whitewater Boaters-
I will be leading a trip to the Red River this Sunday (July 26th, 2015). We will depart the Union around 8am, and get back to the Union around 9pm. This is a great trip to go to if you are interested in more whitewater kayaking. You will need to have taken a Kayak Lake lesson, Swim Test, and have an R1 rating (from a Sac or Baraboo trip). We are going to be shredding the Red and working on basic river running skills. And eating lunch and enjoying the weather lounging on the shore. You will need to bring $5-10 for gas and some money for dinner on the way home. You also need kayak gear (which we will gather from the Union), proper kayaking clothes, and a dry outfit for the ride home. Also probably noseplugs if you wish. You will get wet.

I can open the trip to more people if we get another car (it doesn't need to have racks). Or multiple cars and safety kayakers.

Adding: I'm giving preference to new R1s, or any experienced boater looking to practice leading to get a WW2 rating. And cars. Bike shuttling is not super great.
