- Description
- On Thursday (7/23), weather and water levels permitting, I will lead an Introductory whitewater trip to the Prairie du Sac park-n-play ( http://www.americanwhitewater.org/content/River/detail/id/2934/ ). Participants must possess at least a lake rating in a canoe or kayak, and have passed the higher-level Hoofer Outing Club swim test. This is an R1-qualifying trip. Sign up online, and on the day of the event bring a towel, swimsuit, change of dry clothes, bottle of water, $5 to pay your driver for gas (or your car if able/willing to drive), and enough money for dinner at Culvers afterward. Meet at the Memorial Union boathouse at 5PM to gather your 6 pieces of Hoofer whitewater gear (5 if canoeing).
