- Description
- As approved by our Water Safety Chair, Tricia and I will jointly lead a Hoofer trip to the Wausau whitewater park (http://wausauwhitewater.org/) for the Jackson Freestyle Clinic and Midwest Freestyle Championships (8/14 - 8/17). To participate, you need an R3p or higher rating in a whitewater kayak, as well as a bombproof roll. Event information and instructions to sign up for the competition ($45/person) and Clinic are available at (http://wausauwhitewater.org/). Camping at the whitewater course, and the cost of some meals, is included in your participation fee. You'll want to bring basic camping gear, extra food or money to eat out, and your boating gear. I am not offering rides (unless I talked to you already), but will be available to coordinate boating cage access on Wednesday evening (8/13) or by request, and may be able to haul 1-2 additional boats.
