Description:
We will be taking an R1 whitewater kayaking trip to Black Earth Creek (about 45mins from mem u). Black earth creek is an awesome place to learn the basics of paddling in moving water. For your orientation, we focussed on keeping ourselves safe in our boats and what equipment we will need on the water. For this trip we will focus on maneuvering in moving water…more on this later. NOTE: If you want to come on the trip but don’t have the ratings, reach out to whitewater@hooferouting.org to coordinate an orientation! You will need to pay the trip leader $10 to cover gas (we'll sort this out when we meet up)
