Come to a beginner/advanced beginner whitewater kayak trip on the Baraboo River! If you have your R0 lake rating for a whitewater kayak you are ready to go.We will paddle a moving current (thrilling) and practice T-rescues and wet exits (character-building). We'll spot eddies/safe zones on the river, avoid obstacles, hit features, and enjoy a true whitewater kayak experience!
Bring:
- full swimsuit
- shoes to get wet and wear in the boat
- dry clothes to change into
- suncreen
- lots of water
- lunch (and eat breakfast beforehand please!)
- glasses strap (straps for anything loose)
Cost: ~$15 per person for vehicle rental and gas. Will decrease to $10 per person with a full vehicle.
Meeting: Hoofer Outing Club Boathouse. The usual spot down by the lake.
