Governor Dodge State Park Camping Trip!!

Hey Hoofers!

Bundle up because we're doing one last camping trip for 2023!!

Itinerary

Friday Afternoon: Meet at Memorial Union to pack up gear and then drive ~1 hr to Governor Dodge State Park. 

Friday Night: Set up camp, make food, play games, etc.

Saturday Morning: Breakfast and hiking around.

Saturday Afternoon: Eat lunch, pack up camp, and head back to Madison. 

Optional: Saturday afternoon we plan on attending Dennis' Cookie Decorating Party. If you would like to join you should sign up for that event as well. We will also be heading back to Memorial Union if people do not wish to attend. 

There will be a pre-trip meeting Tuesday, December 5th at 8pm after the general meeting.

This trip requires no ratings and should be a good opportunity to try out winter camping if you've never done it before. We will be bringing lots of extra warm clothes and have vehicles available to warm people up if need be. Also, more spots could open up if we find more drivers, so email me if you're willing to drive your personal vehicle for the trip and sign up for the waitlist if the trip is full.

Note: We only plan on cancelling this trip due to weather if it is going to storm.

Cost: We will not be handling expenses for this trip through RecHub. Expect it to cost about $20 per person. You do not need to make a payment to sign up for the trip, but if you sign up and do not attend you will still be expected to pay as if you did attend.
