Event Information

Description

If you want to learn how to cook on outdoor trips, this is the place to start!

The venerable MSR Whisperlite stove has been the mainstay of outdoor kitchens for decades. Renowned for its' durability, and ease of field maintenance, the Whisperlite earned its place in the halls of gear history, and the Hoofer equipment stash.

The Aluminum Chef Series seeks to make improved outdoor cuisine available to all members. Put down the oatmeal, and zip up the trail mix, because we'll be trying some real cooking! For this first lesson, we will be learning to use and maintain the club's Whisperlite stoves.

Since this is the first lesson of the series, the topic will be breakfast! At the very least, we will have pancakes, but other menu options will likely be added. A lesson on the use of the club's new frybakes is likely as well.

If you plan on attending, please sign up so we can plan food and equipment for this event.

This event will start after the outing club meeting on Tuesday.
