Manitowoc Wave Throwdown and Boatercross!

Update: I got water safety approval and Seth is the designated leader on the water. This trip is on!

The wave is on the Lower Cato falls on the Manitowoc river. It is usually a class I-II run during the summer but gets bumped upto Class III during spring flows.

The Wausau WW gang is organizing a throwdown/boatercross event to raise funds for their pool session. Check out the facebook page for the event: https://www.facebook.com/events/288638104617459/

Depending on spring flows we will run short stretch of the river before the falls  in the morning and work our way down to the wave intime for the throwdown. We'll mostly likely run another river on Sunday (camping plans etc still to be figured out).

If its a hoofer trip, you will need a R3 rating (maybe higher). I can carry 4 passengers and 4 kayaks. I will need more drivers with kayak hauling capacity if we need to accomodate more people.

Apart from regular whitewater paddling gear, you will also atleast need a drytop.
