Help construct Lady Liberty on the Lake! In Progress / Completed
Schedule: Sunday, Feb 7, 2010
(12:00 pm - 3:00 pm)
Instructors: Caroline Rose

Volunteers will be needed this Sunday Feb. 7th to help us construct the Statue of Liberty (from the nose up) on the frozen lake outside of Memorial Union. Volunteers will pick up the statue that morning and load it into a trailer at the Hoofer Stables (yes, Hoofers owns stables.); they will then bring it to campus, and we will need LOTS of Hoofers to get it unloaded and set up. If you would like to help loading out at the stables, we will meet at 11am at Park Street Circle.

THEN WE NEED LOTS OF PEOPLE! The statue will at about 12 or 12:30 and we will need a tremendous amount of help unloading and constructing it, so come down to the Union and give us a hand!

To address an important issue, a message from Austin:
"I am aware that the Super Bowl is on Sunday, and it is my goal to have you comfortably on your couches, sipping your beverage of choice by kickoff."

For pictures of the statue's appearance last year and information on the upcoming Winter Carnival events, see www.hoofers.org

See you on Sunday! Caroline Rose
