We are going to dah UP!

Mason, Leah, Evan, and Aidan are leading a crew of Hoofers to Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore for a keyswap* backpacking/camping trip the weekend of Fri. Oct 19 through Sun. Oct 21.

This is a BP2 trip with the Hoofer Outing Club.

You do not need any prior backpacking ratings to sign up for this trip!

Keep in mind, if you want to go on a big BP4 Spring Break trip in 2019, you first need to go on one BP2 trip regardless of skill level.

Esitmated cost of trip: ~$70 per participant.

Basic Itinerary:

2 groups: [one group], {other group}

Friday 10/19: Leave from Memorial Union around [12-1 PM] {4 PM} and drive to PRNL [Miner’s Beach trailhead] {Little Beaver Lake trailhead}. Hike [4] {1.5} miles) into [Mosquito River] {Coves} group campsite for the night.

Saturday 10/20: Leave campsite and hike ~7 miles to next campsite for the night. KEYSWAP! Groups will be flip-flopping campsites.

Sunday 10/21: Wake up early, hike [1.5] {~4 miles} to [Miners Beach parking lot] {Little Beaver Lake parking lot}. Groups meet up. Leave for Memorial Union, stopping for lunch on the way and arriving around 4-5 PM.

*What is a keyswap? It’s where we have two groups that start at opposite ends of a trail and hike towards each other, switch keys in the middle, and end up at the other group’s cars!
