Beginner Whitewater Kayaking trip, river destination TBD

Beginner Whitewater trip.  Black River near the city of Black River Falls is the intended river but water levels make the river too high to run.

Will cancel trip if water levels remain high and an alternative river is not selected.

Requiring R2 kayak rating due to high water levels.  This requirement may change if an alternative river with reasonable water levels is selected.  Please check this event listing for updates.

Trip costs are to be determined.

Will meet Saturday September 8 at 8:30 AM to load kayaks & depart.  Will return at 7:00 PM in evening or earlier.

Bring swim suit, non-cotton shirt, foot wear that will get wet, water bottle, lunch, dry bag, large towel, dry clothing to change into afterwards and extra money for dinner if the group decides to stop for dinner.  In case of cool temperatures, bring light weight synthetic or wool undergarments, light weight paddling sweater (can be wool).  Club has extra wet suit & paddling jackets that can brought along.
