Canoe Lake Lesson

I am teaching a canoe lake lesson.  This canoe lake lesson is separate from the kayak lake lesson.  The canoe lake lesson will teach you to work as a team in a tandem canoe to go where you want.  This is the lesson you will need to participate in outing club canoe quiet water trips and to paddle a canoe on lake Mendota.  We normally don't capsize or practice rescues in this lesson but your shoes will probably get wet so wear shoes that stay on and can get wet. Also in case you get splashed wear clothes that can get wet.  There are lockers at Memorial Union for $0.25 to keep your valuables in during the lesson.  We will take a tour of the Outdoor Rental Office and we can stash your things at that time.

The Swim test is not required to take this lesson but the swim test and this lesson will be required to take boats out on the lake.  A swim test will not be given with this lesson but keep your eye out for when a swim test will be offered.

Meet me at the waterfront in front of the big open door at the entrance to the boathouse.  You will see kayaks and boats inside the door.  If you cannot make the lesson take your name off the list as soon as you know so that someone else can sign up.
