Baraboo Kayak Pool Session

I plan to attend the Saturday February 3 Baraboo pool session. Details are below. (This is hosted by the Mad City Paddlers.) I won't be organizing club boats or gear. However, if folks want to meet me up there, I am happy to bring two of my personal boats to provide a combo kayak lake lesson and an introductory sea kayak lesson (SK0) or skills practice. You can also bring your own boat/gear.

The upcoming Baraboo pool session is on Feb 3. All sessions are from 4-6 pm at the Baraboo Middle School. The address is 1531 Draper St, Baraboo, WI 53913. This is about an hour drive from Madison.

There is an upper parking lot where you will want to park. The entrance to the pool is on the right of the Middle School and is marked with signage. You'll come up Draper past the High School and the lower drive into the Middle School. Turn left into the drive of the upper lot and you'll see the entrance.

The cost is $10 for each person. You pay when you come to the pool. Any size boat is fine. There are several people that bring their sea kayaks. There are showers with warm water to rinse off gear and yourself afterwards. There are lockers to store street clothes while in the pool but no locks. They never worried about locking the locker because only paddlers are there at the sessions and they've never had any problems. It's a big pool and there always seems
to be plenty of room.

Of course, the boat needs to be clean inside and out.

Bring $10 cash for the session,swim wear, towel, dry/warm change of clothes, and extra cash for food and driver.
