Event Information

Description

We will be spending about 20-30 minutes before the Tuesday meeting to learn and/or work on a variety of different knots with an emphasis on backpacking and camping including but knot limited to:

Square, sheet bend, two half hitches, taut line, clove hitch, timber hitch, bowline, larks head, double figure 8, timber hitch, truckers hitch and possibly even lashings if there is interest.

This is hopefully going to be the first of a number of different quick trainings that will appear throughout the semester. All levels are welcome and if you think you have your knots down, you can come and help teach. If you have your own rope, please bring it, if not, we will have ones that you can use.
