Book Across the Bay - Cross country skiing

Book Across the Bay is a cool ski/snowshoe/run race/event/thing up north in Ashland/Washburn, WI. It's a 10k route which goes over the frozen Chequamegon Bay. Also, it's at night, and the course is lit by luminarias! There are also fun and festivities before and after the race.

We'll spend the night at an Airbnb house in Ashland, which would cost between $25 - $35 per person (the more people that sign up, the less it will cost per person). After leaving Sunday morning, I figured we might as well take advantage of being up north and stop to ski at Nine Mile or Iola or something on the way back. 

The club has ski and snowshoe gear you can use. I would recommend having at least some skiing experience before signing up.
