Water Safety Board meeting

The Water Safety Board will meet after the regular HOC meeting on Tuesday, Nov 28th. Agenda items will include:

• Leader promotions (2 for sure: Maddie Hughan and Ted Bilek to WW2----let me know if there are others you recommend).
• Water Safety Code: any suggested new revisions? How's it working?
• Synching new Land Safety/Backpacking Safety Codes with Water Safety Code---what does this mean for paddling trips?
• Water safety skills training and practice---both off-season and looking ahead to next year

I welcome suggestions for additional agenda items----just send me an email.

As always, WSB meetings are open to all members, but only WSB members (leaders at least WW2, WW2-OC, or SKL1)  are eligible to vote on matters such as promotions and changes to the Water Safety Code. I especially encourage new (and old) quietwater leaders to attend to get a sense of how we operate and contribute to our discussions. You may well wish to progress as a leader and thus become future members of the WSB.

If you are a member of the WSB but cannot attend this meeting, I encourage you to send me your comments and vote on the two promotions mentioned above. We'll meet in the Mendota Lounge. I hope we get a good turn-out.
