Spring Break Backpacking Leader Meeting

Hi everyone!

Interest in leading 2018 Spring Break backpacking trips is at an all-time high! This is awesome! We are looking to send out a multitude of trips this upcoming year, including both BP4 and BP3 level adventures all across the country. GET STOKED!

The goals of this meeting are to:

---facilitate a conversation and cooperative atmosphere regarding trip planning

---ensure all leaders have equal opportunity to partake in the trip they are interested in leading

---discuss leadership expectations in alignment with the new backpacking rating system

---determine which leaders have which ratings under the new system through self and peer assessment

---talk about club vs. personal vs. OUW gear and concerns about what HOC may or may not have

By having these conversations now, we will eliminate a lot of chaos that would likely otherwise occur during times in which addressing the issue would be more difficult.

Lastly, though I have done my best to accomodate all of you, I do realize that not everyone can make this meeting. If this is the case, there are two options going forward: 1) contact me ASAP so I can brief you on what we are doing in the meeting OR 2) if there is a significant number of people who must miss, I can run a second meeting.
