SOAR "Water Show": Kayakers Needed!!!

Hello Padders!

You may know that SOAR, the freshmen orientation program at UW, has been doing programming here to introduce incoming freshmen to Hoofers and the Terrace. SOAR is coming back to Hoofers on the 24th, 28th and 29th of August, and we need your help!

Due to the fact that it will be dark, we will not be putting any freshmen in boats like the last SOAR nights (Sailing club put about 40 students each night on boats). However, we think it would be a fantastic opportunity to get some kayakers out in the water rigged up with lighting to show off their moves! 

What we're asking for is this: Any R2 or higher paddlers who are confident in their rolling skills to come to the lakefront on the nights of August 24th, 28th, and 29th and play in their boats in front of the terrace steps. You would probably need to show up at 8:10 p.m. to get all geared up and hit the water shortly after. You would not need to do any other interaction with the students if you don't wish, just get out there and do what you do best for a half hour and show prospective members what they can learn through Hoofer Outing Club!
