Sea Kayak Activity Group Meeting - Rivers, Lakes, Oceans, and Beyond!!

Question: What is a pirate's favorite alphabet letter and favorite type of kayak?

Answer: No - it's not the "rrrrrrrrrr..." It's the "sea"!

The Sea Kayak Activity Group of Hoofers will meet on Tuesday September 26 in the Mendota Lodge of the Memorial Union - immediately after the regular HOC meeting.

If you are (or wish to be) an active participant in our club sea kayaking activities, if you are simply curious about those long boats in the boathouse, if you wish to learn more about the places you can go on rivers, lakes, oceans, and beyond - please join our meeting!

A few items on the agenda:

*Election of sea kayak chair. I'm willing to serve another year as sea kayak chair, but other sea kayak leaders are welcome to be nominated for this position (self-nominations included).

*Recap of Sumner Paddling Season (please bring stories and pictures/video to share)

*Ideas for Fall/Winter Sea Kayak Activities (on and off the water) including kayak pool sessions

*Discuss Trip Ideas for Fall 2017 and the coming Spring/Summer 2018

*Leadership/Instruction We need more leaders/instructors for all paddling groups. Our discussion at this meeting will focus on leadership development and instructor development for sea kayaking.
