Volunteers needed- canoeing event!

EDIT: I have changed the location to Memorial Union! It will essentially be a free canoe rental for Eagle Heights residents using Outing Club boats. 

Every year we host a canoeing event for the residents of the Eagle Heights Community in exchange for parking our trailer in their space. I am changing the format a bit this year: we will bring 10 canoes down to Willow Beach and we will be at the boathouse in Memorial Union, and will allow pairs of people to take out canoes on part of the lake,-- so, essentially a free canoe rental with Outing Club boats. We will follow this up with a fire and s'mores social at the fire circle next to DeJope Hall. 

I need some volunteers to make this event happen. Volunteer Roles: 

- Check-in / hand out paddles and lifejackets 

- Safety boaters to mingle on the water and offer paddling tips 

- Instructors to give basic canoe paddling instruction

- (if enough people available) timing pairs of paddlers in a race course! 

You don't even need to have canoeing experience to help! I will need a few people on shore.

Please meet at the Hoofer boathouse at 4:30 pm and we will prepare the canoes! 

Please meet at Willow Beach, the boat access across the lakeshore path from Goodnight Hall, at 4:30 PM so we can get set up to start putting canoes on the water at 5:00 PM.

I will get the boats transported to the beach before 4:30. Sign up on the separate posting for 3:30pm if you can help transport canoes.
