Tuesday Afternoon (July 25) Whitewater - Pushy Baraboo River

I would like to lead a small group on Tuesday afternoon for whitewater kayaking on the Baraboo river. Meet at 2PM at the boathouse and heading out shortly thereafter. Please pick out your boat right away so we can head out efficiently. We would aim to return to Madison about 6:30PM or so. If time and conditions permit, we may play a bit at Prairie du Sac on the way back.

Because of the higher water levels from recent rainfall, I am requiring an R2+ and standard swim test. Participation will also depend on your recent paddling skills and experience.

Everyone will wear a helmet, and kayakers will need a wetsuit and paddle jacket, as well as the other required paddling essentials (pfd, boat, paddle).

Bring warm when wet clothes, appropriate paddling shoes to protect your toes, and dry clothes and a towel for changing afterwards. Please bring some cash for your driver and for possible food on the way home.
