Introductory whitewater trip

Weather permitting, I will lead an introductory/instructional whitewater kayaking trip to the park-n-play area below Prairie du Sac dam ( https://www.americanwhitewater.org/content/River/detail/id/2934/ ). We will go to an alternative location (Baraboo River, https://www.americanwhitewater.org/content/River/detail/id/2887/ ) if the water levels at Prairie du Sac are above 13,000 cfs. To participate, you need to have earned a Kayak Lake Rating and to have passed the required Swim Test. Successful completion of peal-outs and ferries on this trip will earn you an R1 rating. Please signup online so that I have a head count, and indicate whether or not you are willing to use your personal vehicle to carpool or haul boats. We will meet by the Memorial Union (Park St. Circle) at 5:00 PM to gather Club gear (boat, paddle, PFD, spray skirt, helmet, flotation, wetsuit) and load cars. Bring $5 to pay your driver if ride sharing, and enough money for dinner at Culvers afterward. We will aim to be back at the Memorial Union before 11:00 PM.
