Event Information

Description

This is a session to practice basic kayaking skills as well as to learn some new ones. We'll work on strokes, bracing, turning, body position, and maybe even do some silly stuff (some playboating moves). This will be somewhat informal---and I'm happy to teach and work on whatever skills you'd like.

You need to have taken the kayak lake lesson---and you'll get the most out of this if you have done some actual whitewater paddling---even an introductory trip such as Prairie du Sac or the Baraboo River.

Improving your basic skills will make you a stronger, safer paddler---and you'll have more fun on the water. It also will help your endurance.

Come ready to paddle---noseplugs recommended---and you have to appropriate footwear, too.
