- Description
- Let's circumnavigate Lake Mendota! This will be a distance of 18 to 23 miles, depending on how closely we follow the perimeter of the lake. Joining this trip is a great way to get a feel for kayaking long distances. If you would like to kayak multi-day trips on the Great Lakes or other remote waters, you will need to be able to comfortably paddle distances in this range. We can also practice rescues along the way around the lake. Bring along plenty of water, food, sun protection, and other necessities to keep you comfortable on the water for the day. We will meet at the boathouse at 10:30 am.
