We'll paddle out onto Lake Mendota and watch the full moon come up over downtown Madison, then return to the union.
We'll depart as soon as the general meeting is over. Beverages and food on the Terrace afterwards is optional.
To paddle a canoe, you must have a lake rating in a canoe and passed one or the other of the swim tests.
To paddle a sea kayak, you must have an SK0 rating and have passed the standard swim test.
PLEASE INDICATE ON THE SIGN UP WHICH TYPE OF WATERCRAFT YOU WISH TO PADDLE.
BRING SOME KIND OF A LIGHT OR FLASHLIGHT. THIS IS MANDATORY. If you have no type of light with you, you cannot legally paddle after dusk in Wisconsin and this time I have to inforce this rule.
It would be great if people brought some snacks to share. Chips, apples - who knows. I will try to bring pineapple again....yum....
I plan to sea kayak and it would great if another leader would agree to be in charge of the canoes.
Think clear skies.....if it is cloudy Tuesday, we will go out Wednesday night instead. I will post a separate announcement in that case.
