I will be leading a sea kayak trip to the Apostle Islands
from Thursday August 6th through Sunday August 9th.
The Apostles are a world class kayaking destination
almost in our own back yard. There are
many islands to camp on as well as sea caves to play hide and go seek in!
This year, we will take another attempt to go to the
northern most island, Devil’s Island. It
has the most intricate cave system and is also the hardest to get to. My success rate getting there is only
50%. 2 years ago when Hoofers tried, we
had too large of waves, so let’s try again!
For this trip, you will need an SK2 to go. You should also have been paddling several years. With the open water and exposure, it’s defiantly not a beginner trip!
The camp sites may also be rustic with no facilities such as bathrooms or any other facilities. So, be prepared for back country conditions as well.
The trip size is limited to 6.
