On Wednesday evening (6/24), and contingent upon water level, I will lead an introductory whitewater trip to Prairie du Sac park-n-play (http://www.americanwhitewater.org/content/River/detail/id/2934/ ). To participate, you must have completed your Kayak Lake Lesson (lake rating) and Swim Test, and signup online. This is an R1-qualifying trip. More experienced paddlers are encouraged to participate. Meet at Park St. Circle/Memorial Union Boathouse at 5:00PM to select Club gear (boat, paddle, spray skirt, helmet, PFD, air bladders, paddle jacket/wetsuit). You will need to bring a swimsuit, towel, change of dry clothes, river booties or shoes without laces, $5 to pay your driver for gas (if riding as a passenger), and extra money for dinner at Culvers afterward. We'll aim to be back in Madison by 11PM. E-mail me if you're interested in joining and can either drive/haul boats or safety boat (need an R3p or higher rating); I'm willing to open this trip up to more people if more safety boaters and drivers want to join.
