This intermediate anchor-building clinic will take place at Devil's Lake. To participate, you should have attended at least one of the introductory anchors clinics over the past several weeks, or have significant outdoor climbing experience.
We'll gather gear at Memorial Union at 8am and head for the rocks. We'll spend the morning practicing anchor-setting techniques, then climb on our newly-set anchors in the afternoon. The afternoon will also include discussion of trip planning and group management. Those who attend this clinic are encouraged to sign up for the beginner trip tomorrow to help set anchors and practice trip organization.
You should bring:
* Breathable, non-restrictive clothing
* 1 liter+ of water (if you bring nothing else, bring this!)
* Lunch/snacks
* Sunscreen
* Sturdy, high-traction shoes for the hike up to the crag
* A few bucks for gas and/or Culver's
You should bring (if you have them):
* Climbing shoes
* Climbing harness
* Climbing helmet
* Chalk bag
