- Description
- There is scheduled release at the Wausau Whitewater Park ( www.wausauwhitewater.org ) for this weekend (5/30 - 5/31). Cost is approximately $20/day for use of the park, plus driving ($15/person if passenger, or $45 to drive one person in a compact car). Free camping and good social scene at the park. To participate, you should have an R3p rating (minimum requirement is a strong R2 with either a roll or comfortable swimming/self-rescuing). Canoeists with an R3p or higher rating are also welcome. Bring food or money to buy food, a water bottle, swim trunks, booties, any insulating layers that you would like, and your 6 standard pieces of kayaking gear. If camping, then you will also want a tent and sleeping bag. E-mail me if you have questions, or do not yet have your R3p rating but would like to participate. Sorry--I will not be giving rides to/from the park this weekend.
