- The annual spring cleanup event for the Wausau whitewater park ( http://wausauwhitewater.org/ ) is this weekend (5/16 - 5/17). My wife and I (both experienced paddlers and Outing Club river leaders) will be present at the Wausau whitewater course this Saturday (5/16/15), and are offering to supervise Hoofers who are interested in joining. The water will be *free* this weekend, but the catch is that all attendees must assist with cleanup before they will be allowed to paddle. To participate as a Club member, you should have at least an R3p rating (strong R2s should contact me if interested), must wear a wetsuit with paddling jacket, and must be comfortable flipping upside down and rolling or swimming in cold class III whitewater. I am unable to offer rides this weekend, but do have rack space and could bring 2-3 kayaks upon request.
