I'll lead an evening hiking trip up up to Lodi, WI to climb Gibralter Rock, on the Ice Age Trail. I have to work until 5, so we will meet and depart from the parking circle on the southeast corner of UNION SOUTH at 5:20 pm on Saturday evening. We will be gone by 5:30, so please don't be late. Eat dinner before we meet at Union South.
Gibralter Rock (http://www.devilslakewisconsin.com/gibraltar-rock/) is an elevated point that has a great view of the WI River valley and the Baraboo Hills. The Ice Age Trail Alliance built new trail there two years ago, replacing an old road that once went to the top. It is all uphill and downhill, but we should be able to ascend and descend before darkness sets in (8:20ish). However, PLEASE BRING A HEADLAMP OR FLASHLIGHT, JUST IN CASE we are still descending at 8:30 pm.
Cost is $3 for gas for passengers. Also bring money for an ice cream or other treat.
If anyone else can drive, I'll open up a few more slots. E-mail me directly if you can drive and take passengers.
