Event Information

Description
Lets venture one more time on frozen Mendota before next weeks warm weather makes that inadvisable. Meet across from the outdoor UW office by the lakefront, and then we will head out on the lake via XC skis or snowshoes to view the Madison coastline. The snow should be almost enough for skiing, even if thin in spots. Snoeshoes should work nicely. Dress for a strong cold wind on the open lake. Stick together and avoid springs by the shore.
This is a short trip at a mild pace, good for learning XC skiing if you haven't tried it yet, since the lake is flat. The club has the skis and boots (or snowshoes) and poles.
