Event Information

Description
Hi
There are other cool X-country events the same day and by any means you should sign up for them if you want to have a quality time outside in the snow. This trip is a bit different, and is intended for those that want coaching/input on their ski movement. I am taking advantage of the free Madnorski skate ski lessons at Elver park (thanks Genia for the hint) this Thursday night from 7-8pm. For participating in this event you need first to sign up for the lessons directly with Madnorski (see link below) and let me know if you could get in their list, so I can add you to the club's participants list. I will open the event if other driver signs up.
We will meet 6:15 at Hoofers boathouse if you need gear.
You also will need a city ski trail pass that you can buy directly at Elver ( something like $4 for the day or $25 for the season)

Dick Steinle and Mark Plane are planning to roll Elver this afternoon and we expect the City to groom tomorrow.  I am planning to run lessons on Tuesday and optimistic that Jonesey will be able to have the race.  Willi is out grooming Blue Mound this morning and Paul was planning to groom McCarthy park today.

We are going to have to squeeze a season's worth of lessons into 2 weeks.  I just opened up 30 new slots for lessons in each session, allowing 50 total students.  It will be crowded and classes will be larger than I would like, but I think that is better than shutting people out.

      Sign up is here:     http://www.signupgenius.com/go/10c094facac29a6f49-madnorski1

I will need help. Right now I know of a couple people who will join me, but we really need more.  Please consider coming out to help (and stay for the race if you can).  Lessons run 5:45-6:45 and it is best if you can be there 15 min early, but we will be happy to see you whenever you can get there  It helps me to know who is coming so drop me a note if you think you can make it.

Also, don't forget to post trail updates on Madnorski trails page.  We will all be looking for the best local conditions which will change a lot over the next couple days.  don't assume people already know or somebody else will post, help your fellow skiers out.

Thanks,

Bill Coady
