- Description
- Beginner and / or advanced trip. As I am a bit more of a beginner and go at a slower pace then some I welcome anyone to join this trip. Even if you have never done this before. You can follow me in the traditional cross country ski groves or if you are more advanced you may leave me behind and skate ski or what ever. Gov. Nelson state park is located on the north west side of lake Mendota just 15 minutes from campus. And its free if you have a park sticker in which I do. Very well groomed trails some on the flat and some with hills if you like. My plan is to meet at the Hoofer lounge at noon to pick up gear. And then drive to the park. I can carry myself and 3 others along with gear. If anyone else can also drive we can open the trip to more people. So fell free to sign up as an alterative if need be. My plan is to be back by 4 pm. Cost may be $2 or so to pitch in on gas or park sticker if needed.
