Event Information

Description
Since we're struggling on the snow front, let's try paddling! Lake Columbia is a warm water outfall pond from a power plant about an hour north of Madison. It's always a fun place to get some wintertime paddling in. Saturday looks to be the warmer of the weekend days this weekend, so let's meet at 10:00 AM to load kayaks and canoes. Bring lunch and a warm drink in a Thermos if you have one. Rating required (pending WSC approval) is R2 with wetsuit, paddle jacket, gloves, hat, and completely dry clothes to change into in the event of a mishap (not that you wouldn't be wearing that to get to Lake Columbia, but...). We'll aim to be back in Madison by late afternoon. Right now the trip is small as we have just one car. If more drivers sign up, more people can participate.
