Hi fellow winter sports enthusiasts!
At the meeting this Tuesday I will be going over how you can go Telemark skiing with Hoofers!
Bored of the resort slopes? There's a whole other side of the mountain you can explore on tele skis! A mix of old-school free heel turns and modern ski technology allow you to go on serious backcountry expeditions on telemark skis, or just look super cool as you execute that perfect telemark turn.
The club owns many pairs of skis and boots, and we're fortunate in Madison to have one of the most active telemark communities in the Midwest. I'll be talking about how you can get involved, how you can get out on the slopes with us, what trips we are planning for the coming year, and what kind of gear you need.
No need to sign up, just show up at the Mendota Lounge. And remember... FREE THE HEEL, FREE THE MIND!!
