Delta Lodge 2015!

WINTER IS COMING...... Which means it is time for the annual Delta Lodge cross-country ski trip!

WHAT: Organized chaos

WHO: 28 Hoofers in 3 cabins! Cross-Country skiers of all levels are welcome.

DRIVERS: You will have sign-up priority, but will not be officially going on the trip until you have paid. Your vehicle must be able to haul itself through snow/ice/slushy garbage. 

VOLUNTEERS: This is a trip with lots of chances to help out! (Lucky you!). Please let me know if you: would like to help out, have exotic culinary expertise, can shop for things, can fit people for skis, will print maps and organize drivers, are willing to spam group emails, etc. 

 

WHEN: Thursday, January 15th, to Monday, January 19th. The drive takes around 6 hours, and cars will leave both in the morning and afternoon on Thursday depending on driver availability. We will head back to Madison around noon on MLK Monday and be back by early evening.

WHERE: Up north snow-hunting, at Delta Lodge.

WHY: Let's be serious for a sec, why not! There will be cross-country skiing (all day y'all), eating, drinking, sauna-ing, warming huts, a diner breakfast, a bar excursion across a frozen lake, and general gallivanting in the frozen north. You want to enjoy a post-ski round of Pandemic? That's cool, we can do that. Do you want to bake us all cookies? Please do! Do you want to melt in the sauna and then roll around in the snow before enjoying a refreshing beverage of your choice? You got it. 

COST: $180 in advance; bring some CA$H for trail passes.  The $180 includes most meals, all transportation, and lodging.

Additional costs: meals during the drive, Thursday night dinner at the bar, Delta Diner on Monday, trail passes ($5/day) (so bring cash). If there's money left after reimbursements for gas and any other costs, it will be refunded.

- The first deposit ($90) will be due at sign up by Dec. 9th (See below)

- The second deposit ($90) will be due by January 6th.

- Or, you can just pay $180 in one go

- Cash or check (to Alex Ames) at meetings or by mail only (e-mail me for my address if you can't make meetings!)

... You can pre-date a check in order to pay the second amount by Jan 6th.

 SIGN UP!: Tuesday meetings: 12/9, 12/16 (if it exists?), and directly to Alex or Will if you can't make those dates. 

 

- The drop-out deadline for a FULL refund is Jan 9th. After that, you will only be able to get a full refund if someone takes your place on the trip.
