Hey Hoofs,
At the Tuesday night meeting in the Mendota Lodge, I'll go over snowshoeing with the club, and an intro to snowshoeing.
Modern snowshoes can take you wherever you want to go in the snow, and the intensity of the experience is up to you. Going snowshoeing can be a gentle hike, or the most grueling exercise you've ever done, or a winter wonderland backpacking trek - it's up to you, and the snowshoes and terrain you choose to explore.
The club owns both recreational and backcountry snowshoes. I'll show you those, as well as some privately-owned snowshoes. We'll also go over great local places and places farther away to snowshoe, as well as what to wear.
No sign up, just show up at the Mendota Lodge.
